Since Gayle Talma took over as Manager she has transformed an average hotel into a very good one, her vibrant personality and training for staff has resulted in a super place to stay. All rooms are well appointed and much attention to detail has been put in.
Arriving here is like being transported back to a bygone era of elegance and as soon as you sweep down the grand driveway flanked on either side by Casuarina trees, you know that an exceptional holiday is about to begin.
This flagship hotel occupies a prime position on the famous platinum coast and is set in 7 acres of lush tropical gardens, waterfalls and swimming lagoons. It is immenseley suitable for couples, honeymooners and familys with children (some restrictions may apply).
Colony has 96 rooms each with its own balcony or patio are gracefully furnished, some with 4 poster beds. All rooms offer private bathroom with tub and shower, satellite TV, telephone and clocl radio, hairdryer, mini fridge (not stocked), personal safe and air conditioning. There ar 4 wonderful 1 bed OV suites which are perfect for families with 2 adults and 2 children. Garden view rooms + Jnr suites refurbished Autumn 2007
There is an elegant poolside restaurant, a more formal air conditioned a la carte restaurant plus 2 bars where entertainment is provided most nights.
Beach Service is excellent as are the comfortable sunbeds. Complimentary activities include waterskiing, sailing, boogie boarding, kayaking, windsurfing, tennis and an a/c fitness room. There is a beauty salon and a number of shops.
